Alaska-Canada Gas Pipeline
BP and its partners are considering building a high-pressure, natural gas pipeline from Alaska’s North Slope to North American markets in response to growing demand for natural gas. The pipeline would ship 4.5 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) of natural gas and could be expanded to transport up to 5.6 bcfd. This would be one of the largest private energy projects undertaken anywhere in the world.
